BERJAYA University College

The BERJAYA University College (BERJAYA UC) received its licence to operate as an institution of higher learning on 15th November 2008, offering programmes related to Hospitality, Tourism, Culinary Arts and Business Management from foundation to undergraduate levels.

These programmes are offered under six (6) Schools, which are the:

  • School of Culinary Arts,
  • School of Hospitality Management,
  • School of Tourism, Arts and Culture Management,
  • School of Business and Management,
  • School of Liberal Studies,
  • School of Post Graduate Studies.

Foundation studies are also offered to secondary school leavers as an entry qualifier to the undergraduate programmes.

Our Campus
BERJAYA UC's cosmopolitan city campus is situated within the golden triangle in Berjaya Times Square. Students benefit from the integrated learning experience gained from the hospitality, tourism and service-related businesses within and surrounding the city campus.

The city campus, totalling approximately 100,000 square feet, is located on the 11th Floor (West) and 14th Floor (East) and comprises of chic and sleek facilities such as high-tech lecture theatres, classrooms and seminar rooms, conference room, a Learning and Resource Centre, eclectic cccommodation suite, dedicated computer laboratories with the latest software, fully equipped preparation, production and pastry kitchens, bakery, culinary studio, culinary theatre, show kitchen, fine dining restaurant, café, deli, coffee and tea academy, oenology laboratory and a chocolate and sugar artistry laboratory among others.

BERJAYA UC's Present Composition
Currently there are more than 760 students at BERJAYA UC's inclusive of 45 International students from fifteen countries which include Canada, Iran, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Tanzania, Taiwan, Thailand, UK, USA and Zimbabwe.

BERJAYA UC has established other strategic partnerships with established institutions of higher learning such as Griffith University (Australia), Leeds Metropolitan University (UK), Liverpool John Moores University (UK), Hawaii Pacific University (USA) and Waikato Institute of Technology (New Zealand), Global Academy of Tourism and Hospitality Education (Nepal), International School – Vietnam National University (Vietnam), Cheju Tourism College (Korea), SATT College (Sarawak) and Seamonkey Dive Centre for articulation, joint research and training, staff and student exchanges, preparation of joint proposals for external funding for research and development, joint sponsorship of conferences and publications and other areas of mutual cooperation.

To allow our students a wider scope of "internationalised" programmes and an opportunity to enjoy global learning experience, Berjaya UC articulates with foreign institutions of higher learning.

Informatics Education Ltd (IEL)

Informatics Education Ltd (IEL) is a multinational corporation listed on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange of Singapore. Since 1983, it has established itself as one of the largest education and training service providers in Asia, providing quality lifelong learning services in the fields of InfoComm Technology, Business, Finance, Management and Language programmes.

Informatics is one of the largest education and training institutes in Asia, with a global network of 47 franchised centres and 226 licensed centres spanning across 53 countries. The Group offers a wide spectrum of programs, ranging from foundation programs to diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.

It also has the most awards among Private Education Organisations (PEO) in Singapore, including the Singapore Brands Awards 2002 and 2003, the Singapore Quality Class for Private Education Organisations (SQC for PEO) and certification for ISO9001:2000 standards. In 2010, Informatics was one of the prestigious groups of PEO in Singapore to obtain a 4 year, EduTrust certification issued by the Council of Private Education.

Informatics’ rank was alongside blue chip companies on the list of Top 20 Overall Best-Managed Singapore Companies in Asiamoney’s tenth annual poll of best-managed companies in January 2002.

The Learning modes offered at Informatics include traditional face-to-face learning, e-learning, mobile learning and distance learning. Students will also have the option to enjoy a combination of these study modes to accommodate their various needs and different lifestyles.

Over the years, Informatics has managed to forge partnerships with various universities around the world. To date, Informatics has affiliations with over 20 universities across USA, UK, Ireland, Switzerland, Australia and New Zealand. Informatics’ successful partnerships and affiliations with these universities have provided further educational opportunities for many students. Either through advanced standing or direct entry into the final year, students have benefitted greatly in their learning journey with Informatics.
