Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible in formulating and implementing the Company’s Industrial Relations and Employee Relations policies and procedures to meet the Company’s business goals.
  • Provide advice and support to the Management to ensure appropriate management of all industrial / employee relations issues.
  • Responsible for Industrial Relation activities including handling staff grievance, disciplinary cases, Performance Improvement Plan (PIP), etc.
  • Investigate serious allegations and where necessary, organize domestic inquiry proceeding and represent the Company as prosecutor.
  • To ensure legal and policy compliance for all issues pertaining to employee and labour relations.
  • Provide timely communication to Managers regarding new HR policies and relevant regulatory updates and conduct training on employment laws and labour relations best practices.
  • Identify and implement positive employee relations programmes that will lead to a more efficient and motivated work force.
  • Manage effectively all litigation and employment tribunal cases to protect the reputation and finances of the Company.


Requirements

  • Possess a Degree in Law or related qualification.
  • Minimum 8 -10 years related working experience in industrial/employee relations function.
  • Experience in dealing and negotiating with union on Collective Bargaining and handling trade disputes will be an added advantage.
  • Well versed in Malaysian Employment Laws such as Industrial Relations Act, Employment Act and Trade Union Act.
  • Resourceful, proactive and able to work independently with a high level of confidentiality and trust.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Must be well versed in writing reports, policies & procedures, proposals, etc.
