Okinawa, Japan, 4th March 2024 – Berjaya Land Berhad (“BLand”), the leading developer behind the award-winning Four Seasons Hotel & Residences Kyoto, marked a significant milestone with the groundbreaking ceremony for its latest luxury venture – the Four Seasons Resort & Private Residences Okinawa.
The project will be developed by Berjaya Okinawa, a wholly owned subsidiary of BLand, in partnership with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts (‘‘Four Seasons’’), the world’s leading luxury hospitality company. The Four Seasons Okinawa is part of a master plan development comprising about 100 acres of land owned by Berjaya along the western coast of the island, known as the Sunset Strip. Boasting luxury amenities such as indoor and outdoor pools, a ballroom, fitness center, spa, and 5 restaurants and bars with 380 seats capacity, the resort aims to become the most exclusive luxury beach resorts in Okinawa. The design, inspired by Okinawan traditions, features castle-like promontories, village-scale tiled roofs, and elements like rockscape, caves, and lanterns conveys an authentic connection to the location.
