BERJAYA GROUP DECARBONISATION ROADMAP
Realising the importance of mitigating climate change impact and creating a greener future, Berjaya Group as a responsible corporate citizen, is now taking a significant step forward in our sustainability journey. The leadership of Berjaya Group have collectively approved the Berjaya Group Decarbonisation Roadmap (“BGDR”) to reduce our Green House Gas (“GHG”) emissions.
The BGDR consists of both Short-Term and Long-Term Target. Berjaya Group aims to reduce 25% of its GHG emission intensity by 2030, using a 2024 baseline and ultimately achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. We have conducted a feasibility study and peer review prior to arriving at the percentage of reduction and timeline to achieve these targets. The GHG emission reduction target will be synchronised across all Berjaya subsidiaries including Berjaya Land Berhad, Sports Toto Berhad and Berjaya Food Berhad.
