Berjaya Group Decarbonisation Roadmap

Realising the importance of mitigating climate change impact and creating a greener future, Berjaya as a group and responsible corporate citizen, is now taking a significant step forward in our sustainability journey. Our sustainability leadership team has collectively approved the Berjaya Group Decarbonisation Roadmap (“BGDR”) to reduce our Greenhouse Gas (“GHG”) emissions.

The BGDR consists of both short and long term targets. We aim to reduce 25% of our GHG emission intensity by 2030, using 2024 as baseline and ultimately achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.

We have conducted a feasibility study and peer review prior to arriving at the percentage of reduction and timeline to achieve these targets. The GHG emission reduction target will be synchronised across all Berjaya Corporation Berhad subsidiaries including Berjaya Land Berhad, Sports Toto Berhad and Berjaya Food Berhad.
