HEALTH & SAFETY
Berjaya Corporation Berhad is committed to safeguarding the health, safety, and wellbeing of all employees and contractors across its operations through a proactive, preventive Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) approach. This commitment is embedded in a strong safety-first culture supported by compliance, training, and continuous employee engagement.
Safety governance is overseen by a Group Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental (OHSE) Committee with equal representation from management and employees, ensuring balanced oversight and shared accountability. Comprehensive hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures are integrated into daily operations in line with applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards.
The Group continuously monitors safety performance and investigates all incidents to strengthen preventive actions and drive continuous improvement. In FY2025, the Group maintained zero work-related fatalities involving employees and contractors.
HUMAN RIGHTS
In May 2024, Berjaya introduced two policies to demonstrate its strong commitment to respecting human rights and adhering to local laws, as well as the universally recognised principles of human rights established in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (“UDHR”) and the International Labour Organisation (“ILO”) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.
