JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Strategic Planning and Market Research:
    • Identify new business opportunities, including markets, trends, partnerships, and customer segments. 
    • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitor activity, and industry developments. 
    • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve business growth objectives.
  • Sales and Client Acquisition:
    • Generate leads and build a pipeline of prospective clients through networking, cold calls, and other outreach methods. 
    • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to potential clients. 
    • Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business. 
    • Develop strategic partnerships and alliances with other organizations to enhance business opportunities. 
    • Act as a point of contact for clients, resolving issues and addressing concerns in a timely manner.
  • Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination:
    • Work closely with internal teams (e.g., marketing, product development, and operations) to align business development strategies with company goals. 
    • Provide market feedback to inform product improvements and innovation. 
    • Collaborate with marketing teams to design campaigns that attract new clients.
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting:
    • Set and track sales goals, revenue targets, and key performance indicators (KPIs). 
    • Prepare regular reports on business development activities and outcomes for senior management. 
    • Analyze sales and market data to measure the effectiveness of strategies and adjust as needed.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Core Competencies:
    • Strong negotiation and closing skills. 
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build rapport with clients and stakeholders. 
    • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities and overcome challenges.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to manage client relationships and sales pipelines. 
    • Strong knowledge of market analysis tools and techniques. 
    • Familiarity with business development methodologies and best practices.
  • Leadership and Organizational Skills:
    • Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines. 
    • Leadership qualities to guide and motivate cross-functional teams. 
    • Results-driven with a strong focus on achieving targets and objectives.
  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (required). 
    • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) is a plus. 
    • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field. 
    • Industry-specific experience may be required depending on the role (e.g., IT, finance, healthcare).
