The suitable candidate will co-ordinate, plan and support sustainability reporting and decarbonization for the Berjaya Group to ensure that it achieves its short term and long-term goals.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement sustainability strategies, policies, and programs in line with corporate goals.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive sustainability initiatives.
- Monitor and report on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics.
- Conduct research and stay updated on sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Coordinate sustainability awareness programs, workshops, and campaigns.
- Assist in preparing sustainability reports, including compliance with specific standards, e.g. National Sustainability Reporting Framework, GRI, IFRS.
- Support the organization’s carbon reduction and energy efficiency goals
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in sustainability or a related role (preferred but not mandatory)
- Strong understanding of sustainability frameworks and ESG reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.,
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Passion for sustainability and making a positive impact
