Berjaya Corporation group of companies ("BCorp") supported Malaysian
AIDS Foundation's
("MAF") new initiative, the MAF-Berjaya MyLady Assistance Scheme with a contribution of
RM135,000 to empower
Malaysian women living with HIV. Through the scheme, women living with HIV will be equipped with
the necessary
knowledge and skills to start small-scale businesses and job referrals with peer support. The
funding provided
by Berjaya will help up to 20 women start their business with an interest–free loan of between
RM5,000 to RM10,000.
The scheme was officially launched on 17 April 2019 by Executive Director of BCorp, Nerine Tan
and MAF Chairman,
