The history of Sports Toto Malaysia Sdn Bhd began in 1969 when it was incorporated to run the Toto betting business in Malaysia. It was essentially the Government’s effort to raise funds to promote and develop sports, youth and cultural activities.
Sports Toto Malaysia has 680 outlets operating throughout the country, offering six games, which are drawn three days in a week. Since its privatisation in 1985, its revenue had increased from RM76 million to RM3.57 billion in 2009.

The lottery operation in Philippines commenced in 1995 and currently offers 7 games at over 1300 outlets: Lotto 6/42, Megalotto 6/45, Superlotto 6/49, Grand Lotto 6/55, 6-Digit, 3-Digit and EZ2.
Berjaya Philippines Inc. has also diversified into the hospitality business through its recent acquisition of a 212-room hotel in Makati City previously managed by Best Western.
