On 4 September 2005, Starbucks' partners came together to put up a cart selling Starbucks merchandize to raise funds for Free Pediatric Clinic in Penang, a collaboration between Starbucks Coffee and Persatuan Kebajikan Hope worldwide Penang. The net proceeds of RM2,000 collected from the sale was contributed towards to up-keep and purchase of medication for the clinic which aims at providing free medical consultation and treatment to the underprivileged urban poor children on a weekly basis.
At Starbucks, we believe in contributing positively towards our local commmunities beacuse we believe that by doing well is by doing good.
