Joy and Laughter at Shelter 1

In line with the spirit of New Year and its corporate social responsiblity, SINGER Malaysia visited Shelter 1 on 8 January 2005 to bring cheer to the children at the orphanage.
Aged between 4 and 16, the children were treated to fun and games organized by SINGER and the sound of laughter filled the home. The children were later treated to a sumptuous lunch and they certainly had a wonderful time tucking in the food after a few rounds of games.
In addition, SINGER Malaysia contributed RM2,000 worth of essential items such as rice, canned food, cereals, cooking supplies and others to the home.
Shelter 1 is part of the five homes under the wing of Shelter, a registered voluntary organization that was setup in June 1981. Their mission is to rescue and protect children from the trauma of physical and secual abuse, extreme neglect, being abandoned and being a victim of domestic violence.
SINGER Malaysia hopes to contribute to more homes for the underprivileged as an ongoing effort in serving the community.
