A Gift Tailor-Made

Being a strong-willed woman, K. Kasthoori refused to give up when her tailoring shop was destroyed in a fire recently. Being the sole breadwinner for her husband and three teenage children, she picked up the pieces and set out to find another shop for her small business.
Through sheer determination, she found a shop nearby paying a rental of RM700 a month. However, she did not have the money to purchase the sewing machines.
Klang MP YB Datin Paduka Dr. Tan Yew Kew heard of her predicament and approached SINGER Malaysia to help by contributing a sewing machine to K. Kasthoori to start off her tailoring business.
SINGER Malaysia responded immediately and donated a sewing machine to K.Kasthoori on 16 February 2005 in Klang which K.Kasthoori found very user friendly and she greatly appreciated SINGER's kindness.
