An Unforgettable Day For The Elderly

What started as an ordinary day became unforgettable for 21 old folks from Persatuan Kebajikan Charis in Hulu Langat, Selangor recently.
A group of staff from Informatics visited the home on 14 March 2005 to present a photo frame with 2 pictures - individual and group photos of the old folks to each of them. The gesture brought instant smiles on the residents' faces.
According to Ms. Madeline Mok, Senior Manager for Public Relations and Marketing Communications of Informatics Group, the pictures were taken 2 weeks prior to the visit.
"We wanted to do something special and long-lasting for our elderly friends. So we played photograpger for a day and they loved our gift!" said Mok.
Other than cash contribution, the college also contributed food items and toiletries to the home. The staff also organised a gotong-royong to clean up the home's compound. The residents were also treated to a light lunch, which included fried mee, fried bee hoon, mix vegetables and assorted desserts.
