Sports Toto hosts Deepavali gatherings

Sports Toto Malaysia Sdn Bhd hosted three Deepavali gatherings for about 550 less fortunate in Kajang, Kuala Kubu Bharu and Klang on 30 October, 2 November and 7 November 2004, respectively in conjunction with the recent Deepavali celebrations.

The gatherings were jointly organised with MIC leaders in the three areas. Sports Toto contributed "Duit Deepavali" and Deepavali hampers consisting of Muruky and an assortement of goodies to the needy old folks and poor children from the three areas.

The gathering in Kajang was graced by YBhg. Datuk S Gopalakrishnan, Chairman of MIC Kajang, while the gatherings in Kuala Kubu Bhary and Klang were officiated by YB Datuk G Palanivel, Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development and YB Puan Kamala S. Ganapathy, State Assemblyman for Seri Andalas respectively.

The three charity gatherings were organised in line with Sports Toto's "Giving Something Back to Society" charity program.
