Sports Toto’s 16th Chinese New Year Ang Pow Charity Drive

The 16th annual Sports Toto’s Chinese New Year Ang Pow Donation kicked off from 8 January to 16 January 2004. During the nine-day charity drive, Sports Toto Malaysia gave away ang pows and mini hampers to about 14,000 needy citizens of various races aged 60 years and above in 42 cities and towns throughout the country.

Sports Toto Malaysia has been organising this charity event for the past 16 years under the company’s “Giving Something Back To The Society” charity programme.

The 2004 Ang Pow Charity Drive was officiated by YB Dato’ Dr. Ng Yen Yen, Deputy Finance Minister, at the Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall. Also present at the launch were the CEO, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Vincent Tan and Mr. Ng Foo Leong, Executive Director of Sports Toto Malaysia.
In his welcoming speech, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Vincent Tan said that the charity drive helps Sports Toto to promote a caring Malaysian society, where human values of love, compassion and care for others are upheld and cherished by all.
