Berjaya Participates In The Third Annual Rat Race 2002

The Annual Rat race 2002 for charity was held for the third consecutive year on 13 August 2002. The run this year covers 4.5 kilometers through the heart of the commercial area in Kuala Lumpur, starting and finishing at the grounds of Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange. A one kilometer race for CEOs was also held simultaneously on that day.

This year, Berjaya Group sent a team of 5 representatives to the race and sponsored RM10,000 for the event.

The money collected from the event was channeled to The Yayasan BSKL, a charitable foundation established by the KLSE in 1998 to provide financial assistance and support for charitable and educational activities in Malaysia. Among the selected beneficiaries are the National Autistic Society of Malaysia, The Malaysian Paralympic Association, Spastic Children’s Association of Selangor and Federal Territory, Malaysian Kidney Foundation and Hospis Malaysia.
