Berjaya Land Bhd (BLand) is collaborating with Tin Nghia Co Ltd, Development Investment Construction Corp and Vietnam Infrastructure Hexagon Ltd on a proposed bridge project despite the abortion of its development in Vietnam's Nhon Trach district.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, BLand said the project was part of its overall proposed development of Nhon Trach district in Dong Nai Province inclusive of its transportation infrastructure network. 

The bridge project involves the development of some 17km of highway across the Dong Nai River linking Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai Province and Ho Chi Minh City. 

BLand announced on Jan 25 that it would not proceed with its co-development plans of residential and commercial properties with Tin Nghia Co Ltd. 

As the total estimated cost for the bridge project was yet to be ascertained pending completion of a feasibility study, BLand is unable to quantify the effects on the net assets and earnings of the group.
