Berjaya Corporation Berhad announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Berjaya Group Berhad (BGroup) has on May 23, 2008 entered into a share sale cum shareholders agreement (Agreement) with Madam Oi Choon Peng (Vendor) and Vendor's husband, Mr Philip Randall Bozeman (PRB), for the proposed acquisition of 60% equity interest in Clark Hatch International Inc. (CHI), a company incorporated in the Federal Territory of Labuan, from the Vendor for a total cash consideration of USD900,000 (or about MYR2.88 million) (Proposed Acquisition). On completion of the Proposed Acquisition, CHI will be jointly managed by BGroup and PRB, who is the promoter and managing director of CHI, holding the balance of 40%.
